When can my baby have fluids other than human milk or infant formula?
- 6-8 Months
- Taste of water may be introduced via open cup, sippy cup, or transitional cup
- 8-10 Months
- 4 – 8 oz of water can be provided via open cup, sippy cup, or transitional cup
- 10-12 Months
- 4 – 8 oz water via open cup, sippy cup or transitional cup
- Water can gradually be increased to meet hydration needs after 1 years or age
